APA TEAM CAPTAINS VEGAS QUALIFIERS

 2026 Dates TBD - typically held in March and June 
 $250/Team entry | 2 Teams Advance | 3 Player Rosters | Skill Cap 15
 

Each year, Jacksonville APA sends its top captains to Las Vegas to compete for national glory in the APA Team Captains Championship.

Captains in good standing are invited to put a team together for one of these two qualifiers held each year — once in the spring and again in the summer.

  • Entry: $250/team (3-5 player rosters)
  • Eligibility: Active Jacksonville APA players who complete two (2) sessions as a Team Captain of a standard 8-Ball or 9-Ball team in the 2025/2026 League year: Summer 2025, Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026. 2025 Ladies League Team Captains are also eligible. Masters Team Captains are not eligible for the Vegas Qualifiers.
  • Format: Combo of 8-Ball and 9-Ball / Skill Level Cap 15 (fielding 3 players per match) — same structure as the Championship event
  • Vegas Trips Awarded: One team from each qualifier advances to represent Jacksonville APA at the APA Team Captains Championship in Las Vegas in August 2026
  • Travel Assistance: After deducting the $150 tournament entry fee per team, the remaining total entry fees from both qualifiers are split evenly between the two advancing teams and paid out as travel assistance
  • Registration: Posted in the League App when open

NEW FOR 2025 – CAPTAINS ONLY

With league growth at an all-time high, this fall’s event is reserved exclusively for Jacksonville APA Captains — our “true head-honchos.” 

It’s our annual thank you tradition: a free-entry tournament celebrating leadership, loyalty, and the heart of our league.

Eligibility

Every Jacksonville APA Captain is eligible to participate — including 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Ladies, and (new for 2025!) Masters Captains.

Each captain may choose one playing partner — anyone who is an active member of the Jacksonville APA.
To keep the focus on leadership, at least one member of every doubles pair must be a current team captain in the Fall 2025 session.

All players must have an established skill level (at least 10 matches in the last 2 years) in a standard 8-Ball or 9-Ball format to ensure fair and accurate handicapping. Masters Captains are welcome to play as long as they also meet the standard format match requirement.

  • Skill Level Cap: 10 combined (using the higher of each player's 8-Ball or 9-Ball skill level; max individual SL 8)
