What Is the Team Certification Statement?
Before playing in the 2025 World Qualifier, every player must complete and sign this required APA form — no exceptions. Players who haven't signed can’t play, period.
What’s the Purpose?
The form lets each player declare the skill level that reflects their true ability. You can:
- Certify your current listed skill level
- Raise yourself if you're playing stronger
- Request to be lowered (but you will not be — your listed level stands)
How to Submit
- Every player must sign
- Submit before your first round
- Bring a printed copy (preferred), or fill one out on-site
Skill Level Effects
- Certify as listed → Play at that level
- Certify higher → You’ll start at the higher level
- Certify lower → No change — you’ll still play at the listed level
Why It Matters
Excessive skill level movement is the #1 reason teams get disqualified.
Red flags include:
- 1 player goes up 2 levels → High risk
- 2+ players go up → Observer assigned, full review
- Team increases 3 levels total → Heavy scrutiny
- Team increases 4 levels overall → High probability of DQ
Pro tip: Know a player is underrated? Raise them before the event. The Cert Form is your team’s best protection.
Bottom line: Start fair. Don’t finish disqualified.
